Meet Elsa
Half a century at the sewing table
Elsa has been sewing for more than 50 years. She trained under the celebrated Puerto Rican designer Carlota Alfaro, later worked with David’s Bridal, and today brings that experience to brides right here in Wesley Chapel and New Tampa.
She’s meticulous about the details, honest about what a gown needs, and calm when the date is getting close. You’ll work with her directly, from the first pin to the final fitting.

A beautiful gown only looks its best when it fits the person wearing it.
That means a bodice that sits smoothly without pulling, straps that stay where they belong, and a hem that clears your shoes. It also means a skirt that moves the way it was designed to. On structured fabrics like this floral jacquard, seams and shaping have to be adjusted with care so the pattern and silhouette stay intact.

Your gown is altered by hand and machine with careful attention to detail.
Step 5: Final fitting & pickup
You try it on once more, we make any last refinements, and it goes home with you.

Questions brides often ask
When should I book my bridal alterations?
As soon as you have your gown is a good time to reach out. Many brides begin alterations around two to three months before the wedding, which leaves room for more than one fitting without a rush. At your first appointment, Elsa will suggest a timeline based on your date and the work your gown needs.
Can you help if my wedding is coming up soon?
Sometimes. Rush work depends on the current schedule and what your gown needs. Call or send a request with your event date and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
What should I bring to my fitting?
Bring your gown, the shoes you plan to wear, and the undergarments or shapewear you will wear on the day, since all of these change how the dress fits and falls. If you have a veil, belt or photos of a bustle style you like, bring those too.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We work by appointment only, daily, 2–6 pm, so each client has unhurried, one-on-one time.
How much will my alterations cost?
Bridal alterations start from $75+. Every gown is different (fabric, layers, lace and beading all affect the work), so final pricing is confirmed after we review the garment and the work required.
How many fittings will I need?
It depends on the gown and the changes involved. Most bridal alterations include an initial fitting and a final fitting before pickup, and more involved work may need an additional fitting in between. We will plan this with you at your first visit.
Do you make custom gowns too?
Yes. Custom bridal gowns and custom dresses are a separate service from alterations, starting from $350+ depending on the design, materials and complexity. It begins with a local consultation.
